12° North with Edge FWD

12◦North joins forces with the all-male dance company, Edge FWD and Third Edge to present an evening of dynamic and highly physical dance.  The opening feature is a curtain-raiser performance by Company Boom from The Arts Centre at Warrington Collegiate, choreographed by Sindy Richardson.

In contrast, ‘Battlefield Boy’ follows our battalion of teenage Tommies as they say their goodbyes and begin their expedition to war.

Lovely Ugly

Through a physical exploration of Dylan Thomas’ visceral and playful use of language, dance artists James Hewison and Michelle Man have created a piece that brings to life some of the essences of the writer’s world.

Lovely Ugly celebrates Thomas’ humane and moving words, and explores, in the flesh, how they still resonate so deeply within us, performed by Edge FWD and Third Edge dance companies of undergraduate dancers from Edge Hill University. Lovely Ugly was commissioned by North East Wales Dance, and is supported by Edge Hill University.
