Steve Deer
Based in the North West, Steve Deer is a fine art photographer who shoots powerful landscapes with a graphic narrative. Capturing simplicity, mood and depth, his striking signature photography often explores social documentary, sports action, candid street moments and plenty of water.
Alongside a career in advertising, photography has been Steve's key artistic focus. His unique images have gained him much recognition in various competitions across the UK. Most recently, following a unanimous decision by the judges, he was awarded winner of Warrington Contemporary Arts Festival Photography Open 2016. Previous awards include; winner of Wirral Festival of Firsts Photography Competition 2014; one of the winners of Photo Democracy Fine Art Photographer of the Year 2013; and commended in Landscape Photographer of the Year 2013 exhibited at The National Theatre, London.
A New Perspective showcases a selection of Steve's stunning images. Moving between classic and contemporary photography, the works on show have been shot with a combination of digital cameras.
