“That’s Amore” examines the excitement and risks of submitting ourselves to the capriciousness of love….

Four extraordinary performers play out a series of scenes of misremembered tropes from old movies, great pop songs and mesmerising projection to investigate the culture, science and myths of desire and heartbreak, ecstasy and despair.

A hilarious and fast-paced physical theatre show with scientific rigour played against romantic mythologies.  The piece combines excerpts from real research into the psychology and physiology of love with playful insight into how it actually feels.

It combines movement, visuals, original music and classic pop songs to recognize how love strips us of our dignity and just how damned funny it is.

Tmesis Theatre was formed in Liverpool in 2003 and is still headed up by original Artistic Director, Elinor Randle. This is the company’s sixth touring show, the others of which have toured nationally and internationally to venues and festivals worldwide. Tmesis also produces Europe’s longest-running annual Physical Theatre festival, Physical Fest.
