Anna Beecher

Anna Beecher is a highly experienced live artist, writer and director who uses a range of forms to create works which are both wondrous and honest. Her art is comprised of interactive installations, live art and text and she is also interested in the idea of exploring spaces. This work has been created and facilitated for a diverse number of organisations and events. Amongst others, Beecher has delivered produced pieces for Latitude Festival, Glastonbury, Pulse Festival, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Hong Kong Institute for Education. Co-founder of the performance collective FAT CONTENT, she has also been artist in residence at Croydon Clock tower.

In 2012, she created ‘Recipe Collectors’, a huge interactive outdoor installation with 300 core performers and a participating audience of over 9,000. Beecher’s more recent work includes ‘What Happened To Your Face?’ a performance exploration of interactions with strangers, ‘Living Things’ a highly personal piece supported by Arts Council England, ‘Dog Rough’ an audio journey about dangerous dogs and lonely people and two spoken word commissions for the Art in Action Festival.

Beecher’s new performance piece ‘To Meet You’ is a playful exploration of time, place and the encounter and involves the creation of a growing map of her brief encounters both physically and online.
