Daniel Fogarty predominantly works with sculpture exploring how language can be presented. He recently curated The First Oxo Conference; an evening of performances by artists, language poets, playwrights and others that took place in front of a specially made turquoise backdrop.
On display in the Manchester Salon's group exhibition 'IN A FLUX' is the backdrop from the conference along with a set of texts written by Fogarty. The texts draw from a wide range of associations, revolving around the word oxo as a way of speculating how a museum’s collection might spiral into shape.
