Un-Wire Re-Wire (Working Title)
A series of multidisciplinary workshops culminating in a multimedia performance that re-configures strands of Warrington’s unique cultural heritage.
Vinyl looping workshops, creating live music and sound pieces from old records linked to Warrington's past.
Elements of dance choreography workshops will take inspiration from The Hitman and Her Show (Aitkin and Waterman) that was film and broadcast from Mr. Smith’s nightclub. These workshops will culminate in a live performance on the closing night of the festival.

Adam Cooper is a musician (In Atoms) and has also worked with the Royal Standard in Liverpool. His work seeks to engage with the physicality of sound-carrying objects, utilising tape and cassette collage and manipulation. Interested in the emotional resonance of the everyday, his works draw out the hidden sadness in field recordings, found tapes and objects through simple juxtapositions. His most recent works have expanded these techniques of tape manipulation and applied them to film and video to create performance and installation pieces that aim to create an emotional response from the audience through the combination of mundane, memory, and minor chords.
