Scottish choreographer Jack Webb’s performance ‘In A Leisurely or Aimless Way’ takes place in every space possible, for long periods of time. The dance, both engaging and unpredictable due to the use of colourful helium balloons, can be stumbled upon or viewed for the full duration, aiming to ‘slice through the mundane of everyday spaces’.
The concept behind this performance is typical of the ambitious and distinct style Webb has developed over his career. Webb, who is also a performer, director and teacher of dance, has worked internationally with a vast number of companies and choreographers since 2005, accumulating an impressive and extensive CV of experience. This array of experience includes touring with many companies and numerous commissions from the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance, amongst others. On top of this he has worked on a number of film and TV projects, including a short film for the Discovery Channel. He has also performed at various major festivals, including New Territories International Festival of Live Art, Nottingham’s Nottdance Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe.
