WCAF15: 2-31 October 2015

Warrington Contemporary Arts Festival 2015 was delivered by Culture Warrington in partnership with NORTH.

The festival ran from Friday 2 October – Saturday 31 October 2015 and included performance, music, theatre, exhibitions and events – including the Art and Photography Opens. A number of venues and public spaces across the town supported the event and acted as festival hubs, including Warrington Museum & Art GalleryPyramid & Parr Hall and The Gallery at Bank Quay House.

Culture Warrington worked in partnership with NORTH to deliver an exciting new dimension to the festival's contemporary art offering. NORTH was an initiative which aimed to showcase and develop contemporary art in the North of England whilst provoking critical debate on the future of artistic production in the region.

In a series of curated ‘pavilions’, exhibitions and events, WCAF15 explored the breadth and strength of talent within the region in a special programme, as well as attracting national and international artists with support from Arts Council England.

Warrington Contemporary Arts Festival 2015 was delivered by Culture Warrington with funding from Arts Council England, and in partnership with NORTH, The Gallery At Bank Quay House and Warrington Borough Council.

Hundreds of artists submitted work for the Open exhibition for visual arts and photography, with the festival team supported by guest judges Will Lunn, Nina Agnew and Pauline Rigby. Well done to everyone who entered and congratulations to the winners of the 2015 Open:
